Nursery (2-5 yrs)

[Maximum capacity 46]

Our staff plan a broad play based curriculum ensuring that all six areas of development are met on a daily basis and enabling the children to have a strong exploratory impulse.

Staff use sensitive interactions to support and extend learning experiences introducing them to new vocabulary and concepts. Our highly trained staff facilitate learning through participation, demonstration and offering choices as they support each child’s individual needs to become independent learners who are preparing to take the important step towards starting school.

Each child is regularly observed and staff evaluate learning to ensure progression is made in all areas of development. Staff then use this information to plan suitable activities for each individual child and also use adult initiated activities that target specific development milestones.

All planning is tailored for each individual child and is formulated by your child’s Key person.

The children are encouraged to use movement and sensory exploration to connect with the environment to practice skills of co ordination, control, manipulation and movement.

Staff spend time supporting all the child’s needs at this emotional developmental milestone encouraging and supporting them to deal with their emotions in an appropriate way and manage and challenge behaviour in a positive and consistent manner.
